![]() I hope, my and the hopefully following descriptions of others can help. # Every now and then I delete the files in the folderĮspecially if they are very big and the graphics look totally sh.t. Select "Size is managed by the system" and confirm everything with ok. Click there again on the "Advanced" tab and then on "Change" for "Total size of swap file". Click on the "Advanced" tab and click on "Settings" under "Visual Effects, Processor Planning". # How can you increase the virtual memory? So I let Windows 10 decide how to play the game, have the game settings all the way down (recommended settings for my HP laptop with Processor: AMD Athlon Silver 3050U with Radeon graphics - 2.30 GHz, installed RAM 4.00 GB, 512 MB V-RAM and the virtual memory size (letting Windows decide) is currently 12.4 GB committed. To be on the safe side, I also did this for the smaller exe (C:\Programmes (x86)\Steam\apps\common\Hogwarts Legacy). There I set the graphics performance settings for HogwartsLegacy.exe (file path see above) to "Let Windows decide". In the PC settings, I went to the graphics settings under the heading Screen. # There, the exe file is larger than the one in the parent folder. Close all windows and search for the folder above. Then select the indexing status "Classic" again. Now you need to remove all the "excluded folders" by clicking on them and removing them from the black list so that they will also be found when you search for these folders. Then click on "Windows Search" (again the magnifying glass) on the left and change the indexing status to "Advanced". So go to the settings and select "Search" (the magnifying glass). ![]() # If you can't find it, you first need to change the Windows search options. ![]() I have found a solution for myself after trying several things described here on the forum and on various websites.įirst of all, you should be able to find this folder:Ĭ:\Programmes (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64 ![]() A community exists to help each other, those who can't please keep quiet. There are still people out there who have technical problems with the game. Installing mods as a solution is out of the question and please, I don't want to read childish comments like "I updated.". ![]() Please describe in detail so that anyone still having problems with crashes etc can follow the descriptions. Please, I would like to know what you did to make the game work again. ![]()
